Of Hogs And Men

I was seriously very sad when I read recently about Singapore's lift hogs and road hogs. I thought pig farms were history in Singapore. But it seems that the only thing that's changed is that the pigs have escaped from the farms and assimilated into our society.

Reading about how the hogs block up lifts despite the presence of emergency personnel or refuse to give way on the roads, its seriously surprising that the hog population is still so huge. I thought that eventually enough hogs would be killed by such selfish behaviour that the population would decline due to natural selection, albeit with many innocent casulaties thrown in. I know this sounds rather insensitive but if you're wondering why people here are so hard-hearted wait till its your turn to be on that stretcher. Its really heartwarming how nice people can be. =)

I've heard that now civilians can report news by sending pictures and other forms of media to STOMP at 75557. I wonder if anyone could take a few pictures of these hogs so that we can gather them and send them back to farms. You might be shocked at who they are. That friendly neighbourhood uncle of yours might actually have a dark side. He is descended from pigs. Or maybe its that teacher you dislike in school. Or an army regular. Or your boss. That would explain a lot wouldn't it?

In any case I've chanced upon the wonders of using a camera recently and I think I might add a few more interesting pictures soon. A picture speaks a thousand words or so they say.
