Was at Park Mall yesterday covering CAC camp for chron, and they happened to be having dinner at Kublai Khan.
Me: Hi, I'm from Chron, you want to get the interview started?
CAC guy: Sure, you want any drinks?
Me: Just a coke will be fine.
Whoosh. Before I knew it, one of his guys had got me a coke. We found a table and settled for the interview.
CAC guy: Have you had dinner?
Me: No, not really.
CAC guy: Dude help yourself! Eat as much as you want!
I was like SERIOUSLY! I think at that point I died and went to heaven.
I'm pretty sure that a free buffet dinner was not in the job description anywhere, but you don't question life when good stuff lands in your lap.
