much ado about halal pork

I read a news report recently about a picture on halal pork making the rounds on the internet. Well, everybody knows that the words halal and pork don't go together, but I have to admit it stoked some form of morbid curiosity. So I found the picture. Apparently, it's an old picture from 2007, which has resurfaced now for some strange reason.

As much as I want to appear aware of cultural sensitivities, I couldn't help laughing. As a practical joke, this has to be one of the best ones I've seen recently. And by putting it on the national press, I guess they just made it a lot more visible to people like me.

It reminds me very much of this video about nasi babi.



I guess my sense of humour falls squarely within the middle category, as seen from this Venn diagram I took off 9gag.

Totally worth it.
