The blue moon rises!
Nothing makes you realise how much history English soccer clubs have until you hear their anthems. And I am posting "Blue Moon" because for the first time in years, a Manchester club that is not Manchester United is poised to take the title. I am totally going to rock out to this song for the 90 minutes that City plays QPR tonight, and probably for the next few hours after that when they raise the trophy in the blue half of Manchester and stuff it to the Red Devils. I will even attempt to dance (very badly) because there are few moments in life when you can experience such pure unadulterated joy.
But in the unlikely scenario that the Red Devils win, I'm not going to be too upset either. It's not because I don't hate the Red Devils, you have no idea, but it's more because them winning will do me some good as well, in the form of a windfall from Singapore Pools. So yes, I pretty much have my ass covered no matter how the result turns out.
It's a lesson in life. When things don't go your way, money always helps. Words more true have seldom been spoken.
So here's to a windfall as well.
