Eating in Singapore is freaking expensive.

Is it just me or is eating in Singapore very expensive nowadays. Yesterday when I was out doing filming for 206, I ordered duck rice. Knowing how hawkers in Singapore intentionally set out to starve guys, I ordered it with extra rice and meat.

After that though, I didn't feel full. Its the same problem whenever I order chicken rice anywhere. Or anything in a hawker centre for that matter. Its even worse when I order McDonalds and upsize the meal, only to feel like I should have ordered nuggets too. Why is the freaking burger so small? I can finish the Filet O'Fish in 3 bites man. I bet some people in Singapore can do it in ONE.

Even when I order "economic" rice, I end up putting so much stuff on it my meal ends up helping the economy more than it helps me.

All my meals cost a bomb, but I'm stuck because if I pay less, I don't feel full, but if I want to feel full my weekly expenditure goes through the roof. The problem's becoming so bad that even meals at Fish and Co are beginning to look like a waste of my money because they try to fill me up with fries and fail. Not to mention that they are actually a waste of my money.

The worst part about that is, I'm hardly the biggest guy around. If the portions at hawker centres are too little even for the smallest guys, imagine what its like for big guys.

"Eh uncle, you call this a meal ah? Where's the food?"
