When the going gets tough, the tough get going

Ever heard that phrase in the title? I can tell you something, it is cliched. And in studying, I think we all have it tough, but I've seen people cope with it in so many different ways.

The phrase could probably be edited to "when the going gets tough, the tough start eating." Or something along the lines of "when the going gets tough, so does the steak." Or "When the going gets tough, the tough start blogging."

Ok maybe the last bit wasn't so applicable. The last thing I should really be doing now is blogging. But I am doing it. It's a student thing. You shouldn't be doing anything last minute, but students do it anyway. You should be studying for your tests consistently, but students never do that. If there ever was a productivity chart, it would probably flatline until the last day, where the productivity would increase exponentially depending on how much time is left.

If anyone were to do a study, they would realize that you are actually most effective on the day before the submission of your assignment. On that day, the creative juices start to flow, you feel totally motivated, and nothing can stop you from chipping away at that assignment till its done. Its totally amazing. Its almost obsessive. Not to mention its a great rush. Looking at the quality of some of those assignments, you can't even tell its last minute work.

I'm trying to postpone doing my work. Can you tell?
