Eating was the original intention until Shu took out my guitar and we ended up having a singalong session singing stupid songs. We soon realised that the old songs were best, because when everyone was younger we all listened to the same stuff, like those from Backstreet Boys, the classic singalong favourites. I think we sang "I want it that way", Part of this world, Colours of the wind, Can't take my eyes off you, I'm Yours, Blind and many other songs. Basically anything I could figure out and the others could remember the lyrics to.
I don't know who it was that started singing "We are Singapore" but soon after I'd figured out the chords for that, which was weird because I NEVER play that song, we were singing it with full fledged gusto, making so much noise it would put even the partying angmohs to shame. It was really funny how we couldn't remember the lyrics for just about every song, but everyone could sing "We are Singapore" word for word. Haha an brilliant example of inculcated patriotism.
We would have sung the national anthem too but we decided not to, because some people were so high they started doing crazy things like using my metal bowl as percussion, and raking a spatula across the heater to create some weird sound effect. Actually it was just one person. LOL.
The NTU gang in my hall room. Haha. We must have taken at least 8 of these shots but this is the only one that wasn't blurred.
This one is blurred but it was funny. The others were supposed to pretend they um, saw my underwear. Crazy peeps.
We moved to the kitchen to start our beer/choc/chips session, and to show their appreciation, the girls decided to surround me and have a little fun. You can see the priceless expression on my face, the expression of a guy who knows he's in trouble.
I have no idea what Dom was doing. Haha.
During the party. We sang some songs here before deciding we couldn't remember most of the lyrics so we went back to my hall room where there was Internet. Google rocks.
Back in the hall room after the food was done.
